How to know if he truly loves me?

so, this guy told me that he loves me when we were in high school. But then, I didn't really care about him cause i wasn't interested in love. I told him I don't believe in love & there was a time when i had to live my country. I heard he cried alot for me .... and now its been three years and I heard from my frens that he is still waiting for me ... But after coming here I was in a relationship with the other guy and he jus broke my heart!! I realized that it hurts to be in a relationship :( So, i wanted to move onn....And once again this guy from my country asked me to be his girlfriend, and i said yes jus because i wanted to move :( :( . He said that he would do anything for me and he even did. Knowing that i am a vegeterian he stoped eating non veg! and lot other stuff he has done.! We chat for like hours and hours.. He makes me feel really specially and now slowly,i feel like i am falling for him, falling really hard! I but I am scared that he might do the same thing with me like my ex did :( I mean i just wana know ..does he really love me?? i mean what is this love...how to find out?? I am just confused!
