HELP PLEASE!!!! MY ITOUCH WONT POWER OFF?!!?!?

fmlfmlfmlfmlfml. okay so i was having problems backing up my ipod, so i powered it off to see if that would help. but instead turning off the screen is black and there is this little loading circle thing going on for when its supposed to like turn on or something but it wont turnn onn or offf and nothings working . PLEASE HELP!!!!!
