What harry potter to start on?

i know this may sound extremely stupid but I can remember people reading the first harry potter years ago. I'm 14 and I stupidly read the last book first but i want to read the rest. My mom bought me the half blood prince one today should i ask to borrow another one off my friend? please no sarcastic answers. thank you! :)
