Why do people complain about missionaries they have done some good work?

such as tribes in africa and papua new guinea where they used to fight with each other every day and eat each other, when the missionaries came they introduced rugby and soccer and so they would play sports against each other instead of bashing each other with clubs, surely that must be a good thing
