Why did my dream suddenly stop?

this hasnt happened recently but its something thats been bugging my for a while. every now and again i used to have dreams where i was sat on my bed and there was my mum and my grandad and the bed was floating in the sky. on my bed (this is really weird) there was and index and middle finger that used to sort of walk around on my bed (you know like when you pretend your fingers are people and make them walk) and my mum and grandad kept trying to get rid of it and eventually they did. well the last time i had this dream was when i was onn holiday back in 2007. then on the coach to the airport i had visions of my grandad dead in my house. guess what when we got back he was... not in the same place i imagined but still.. then thease dreams stopped...
